Scout X Brian breeding

Week 7

Another very fun week with the puppies.

We had a lovely visit on the 29th with 2 of our puppy families, the Hintz's and the Fords.

We made a corral out of ex pens and both the humans and puppies were inside.
The adorable young kids were in and out and in and out and in and out....
You get the picture!  So fun to see kids on this property.

It's nice and shady under the Sweet Gum tree.

It's a puppy social hour!

The puppy witch Kelly works her usual magic on the babies.
They come to her like to the Pied Piper!

Kelly and Mike's son Jackson is wonderful and gentle with the dogs.
He is also killer with the Nerf light sabers and swings high on my swing by the creek!
Look at that fabulous head on that puppy!  I *think* it's Green.

Duncan and Michelle Hintz (along with the paterfamilias, not in pic) meet the two red boys for the 1st time!  Either Black or Brown will be going to live with them.  Michelle reports being very pleased by the boys!  Duncan learned about Dachshunds from his father who had them growing up.  The love of Dachshunds seem to be a family inheritance in many of my puppy families!  I imagine it's that way with a lot of breeds though.  Their puppy's name will be Captain Rex, from Star Wars, the Clone Wars.

We also got to break in the back puppy yard.  It's super fun to run around and around!
This is a bird's eye view from the command center of my room.

Miss Orange takes a snooze in the back yard dirt in the bird feeder detritus.
Unfortunately, This puppy and Beige decided to grow what looks like an inguinal hernia.
The vet will check it out on the 3rd.  If this is true, Scout is getting spayed asap as that will be two litters with inguinal hernias.  Not something we want in our lines.

We are liking the igloo in the flagstone patio.  It's huge enough for the most crowded social events!  We have amateur wrestling and sleepovers in here.

The litter experiment is a dismal failure.  We like to poop in the box, and everywhere else, but we also love the cedar shavings and sleep in here too!

We tried cat litter inside, but the results are much the same....

Except there are some additional side effects!

We had our first taste of rabbit and loved it!!!

Cooked potato is also a fine treat!

So far so good!  Next week... evaluations and a trip to the vet!!!
